So, how does it work?
When power goes out, your Better Power Generac Automatic Standby Generator System senses the outage and turns itself on.
Then it delivers backup power to your home until your utility power is restored.

Keep your entire home powered up with an automatic standby generator from Better Power.
Whether a winter blizzard or a summer storm, your HVAC system keeps your home feeling comfortable. Prevent water pipes from freezing in the winter. Prevent sleepless, uncomfortable nights in the summer. When your HVAC is happy, so is everyone inside.
Fridge and Freezer
Losing power is a recipe for disaster when it comes to food spoilage. A backup generator will keep the contents of your freezer and refrigerator safe and fresh. What will you cook up tonight?
It’s the power to see in the dead of night, or in the midst of a storm. It’s the ability to go downstairs safely. Though it may be miserable outside, inside, you can make it as sunny as you want.
We need it for drinking, cleaning and flushing. And if it’s flowing into your basement, you’ll need power to pump it back out. A backup generator will help you keep water in its place.
From your TV and tablet to your computer and phone charger, we keep the power on so you can stay connected.
It's all in the transfer of power.
A backup generator system is made of two main components: The generator itself, and the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).
When the power goes out, the Generator senses the power loss and starts itself up, automatically.
It's the job of the ATS to switch from utility power to generator power. Within seconds you've got backup electricity without lifting a finger!
When the utility comes back online, the ATS switches from generator power, back to utility power automatically, and you're back on the grid. Now that was easy!
What's the cost?
When it comes to backup power, every home is different. The size of your home, and the amount of electricity your family uses will have an impact on cost.

Here's what our customers are saying:
"We live in a heavily-wooded area. During high-wind storms, it’s not uncommon for a tree to take out our power or the entire neighborhood’s power. Installing a back-up generator from Better Power really brought us peace of mind. We don’t have to worry about staying warm, or food spoiling. The generator keeps the furnace running the lights on and the fridge in business. Though I used to enjoy “roughing it” burning wood to keep warm and lighting candles to see, these are activities my wife doesn’t enjoy. She feels better knowing that we have “plan B” in place. How pleasant to work with Better Power."

"I decided to purchase a whole house generator after a recent devastating ice storm here in central Tennessee. I had no idea what I needed when I initially contacted Better Power. The sales team was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what questions to ask in order to recommend what size generator I was going to need. They walked me through the entire process and were quick to respond to my emails.
Better Power went above and beyond the call of duty with me. As a female in the wake of a devastating storm, I knew that there would be contractors ready to exploit me and my situation. The first quote I received from a generator installer turned out to be extremely high. Sure enough, with help from Better Power, I was able to find a contractor to install the generator for $3,000 less! Thank you Better Power for a job well done! I will highly recommend your company to all of my friends and family."
